Miss Shona's Performing Arts Center in Maplewood, NJ is seeking energetic, positive, responsible and reliable Modern teacher on Tuesday evenings (ages 7+). Applicants must be available September through mid-June. Teaching experience is desirable but passion for working with children is a must.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing lesson plans and teaching weekly dance classes (students of all ages)
• Teaching a variety of levels and ages
• Choreographing dances for our June recital and performances, including selecting music and costumes
• Maintaining the safety of our performers
• Upholding the professionalism and fun, positive energy of Miss Shona's PAC
• Qualified applicants will be required to perform a demo class as part of the hiring process.
• Pay rate is negotiable and dependent on experience and training. Typically $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
• Teachers must have reliable transportation.
• Paid training will be provided for qualified candidates. New instructors may complete a paid training period before teaching independently.
