Job summary

Cross Country Education in Manhattan Beach, CA is seeking a compassionate Moderate/Severe Special Education Teacher for a TK–5 SDC classroom. You will provide highly individualized instruction focused on functional academics, communication, and life skills.

Responsibilities include assessing progress, developing and implementing IEPs, attending meetings with families and multidisciplinary teams, and creating a structured classroom that supports engagement and independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field preferred.
• Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Moderate/Severe or ESN authorization required/desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in a Moderate/Severe SDC for TK–5.
• Develop individualized, modified curriculum and instructional plans.
• Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and develop IEPs, including meetings with families and teams.
• Create a structured classroom environment to promote engagement and independence.
