Ericsson Inc. in Boise, ID or Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior Manager of Modem Engineering to lead end-to-end modem software delivery, firmware integration, and platform enablement for enterprise and industrial IoT solutions.

You will partner with product management, chipset vendors, ODMs, and global engineering stakeholders to deliver carrier-grade connectivity. The role sits at the intersection of engineering execution and strategic planning, with responsibilities spanning workforce

Qualifications

15+ years in modem, wireless, embedded systems.
5+ years in engineering management leading modem/wireless teams.
Track record delivering complex modem/embedded software across product generations.
Experience with cross-functional engineering orgs spanning firmware, hardware, platform, validation, and test.

Responsibilities

Partner with Head of Modem Engineering to execute long-term modem strategy.
Lead and grow a high-performing modem engineering team.
Own workforce planning, resource allocation, and hiring plans.
Drive engineering operational excellence, metrics, processes, and automation.
Define and drive plans and milestones across products and platform initiatives.
Partner with Product Management to define roadmaps and releases.
Lead engagements with modem chipset vendors, ODMs, and carriers.
Drive cross-functional alignment across firmware, hardware, RF, and cloud teams.
Build and scale modem automation, validation, and quality frameworks.
Support carrier certification, interoperability testing, and commercialization.
