Job summary

Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions is seeking a Principal Modem Architect to own the complete modem firmware architecture for LGA modem modules and drive software stack integration. You will provide technical leadership across firmware, hardware interfaces, RF, and platform components, shaping the long-term direction of high-performance 5G platforms deployed globally.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in embedded systems architecture with 3+ years in modem or wireless domains.
Hands-on experience with modem chipset platforms.
Deep understanding of modem subsystem architecture including ARM cores, DSP, and hardware accelerators.
Expert knowledge of modem software stacks and integration models.
Strong proficiency in C/C++ for large-scale, real-time embedded systems.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end modem firmware architecture for LGA modem modules.
Lead modem software stack integration, customization, and long-term upgrade strategy.
Define architectural guidelines for baseband platform, RF, power management, and system interfaces.
Drive cross-team technical alignment across firmware, hardware interfaces, RF, and platform teams.
Serve as the primary technical contact with modem chipset and hardware partners.
Review and guide complex design decisions, trade-offs, and performance optimizations.
Debug and resolve critical system-level issues across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.
Influence modem roadmap decisions and technology directions.
