Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, seeks a Modeling and Simulation Engineering Intern to support multibody dynamics, vehicle dynamics, and multi-physics simulations. You will work with experienced engineers to build, run, post-process, and evaluate simulation models used for product development.

This role provides hands-on experience with engineering simulation workflows, test data analysis, model correlation, and technical problem solving, with guidance from the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Completion of foundational coursework in dynamics, mechanics, controls, or numerical methods.
• Previous internship, Formula SAE/Baja SAE, research, or engineering project experience is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with multibody dynamics modeling, vehicle performance analysis, and co-simulation activities.
• Build, modify, run, and post-process simulation models of vehicles and mechanical systems.
• Support comparison of simulation results with physical test data.
• Develop scripts and tools for simulation setup, data processing, visualization, and reporting.
• Collaborate with design, test, controls, and manufacturing teams on projects.
