Responsibilities

  • Assist with multibody dynamics modeling, vehicle performance analysis and co-simulation activities.

Our range of research & development, engineering, prototype manufacturing, test & validation, and low-rate production capability help our customers bring their high-quality products to market faster.**The Modeling and Simulation Engineering Intern will support engineering activities related to multibody dynamics, vehicle dynamics, durability, and/or multi-physics simulation. The intern will work with experienced engineers to build, run, post-process, and evaluate simulation models used for product development.This position is intended to provide hands-on experience with engineering simulation workflows, test and simulation data analysis, model correlation, and technical problem solving. Assignments will be scoped to the intern's experience level and completed with guidance from engineering team members.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:**Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:* Assist with multibody dynamics modeling, vehicle performance analysis, and co-simulation activities.* Build, modify, run, and post-process simulation models of vehicles and mechanical systems under the guidance of experienced engineers.* Support comparison and correlation of simulation results with physical test data.* Assist with development of scripts and tools for simulation setup, data processing, visualization, and reporting.* Work with engineering teams such as design, test, controls, and manufacturing to support project activities.* Document model assumptions, analysis methods, results, and conclusions.* Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and team meetings.**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:*** Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.* Willingness to learn new engineering tools, methods, and technical concepts.* Excellent time management and organizational skills.* Effective written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to ask questions, receive feedback, and apply lessons learnt.* Dependable attendance and accountability for assigned tasks.* Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.**EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:*** Completion of foundational coursework in dynamics, mechanics, controls, numerical methods, or related subjects is preferred.* Previous internship, Formula SAE/Baja SAE, research, laboratory, design-team, or engineering project experience is beneficial but not required.**DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:**The following skills are desirable but are not required.
