Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Minnesota seeks a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to provide NLFEA/CFD insights across engineering teams, including multi-body deformation, time-temperature effects, and fatigue analysis.

You will collaborate on boundary conditions, material properties, and CAD, perform FEA, validate models with real-world experiments, and stay current with ANSYS, Abaqus, OpenFOAM, and CalculiX; travel 5-10% across the USA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
• 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to write and debug code in C/C++/Fortran.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on boundary conditions, material properties, CAD geometry for simulations.
• Adjust meshing, boundary conditions and solver settings for accuracy vs. convergence time.
• Perform FEA to understand product and process performance during development.
• Collaborate on model validation with real-world experiments.
• Document results and provide engineering recommendations via presentations and reports.
• Develop and improve techniques with new software and automation; travel 5–10%.
