Job summary

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) seeks a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO, within the Signals and Systems Division (SASD) of the Advanced Concepts and Technologies Laboratory (ACT). You will design, verify, and validate simulation models to optimize complex systems and support current and future R&D efforts for national security challenges.

Collaborate with research, development, and testing teams; apply discrete event and agent-based modeling using tools

Qualifications

• BS in a STEM field relevant to Modeling & Simulation.
• Familiarity with DoDAF/UAF products and processes.
• At least two years experience with C, C++, Python, Java, MATLAB or Rust.
• Familiarity with USSF space acquisition processes and programs.
• Understanding of operational analysis methods and techniques.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct sponsor engagement and requirements gathering/analysis.
• Develop M&S inputs: framework definition, analysis, synthesis, systems analysis, implementation.
• Translate requirements into valid models and experimental designs for systems of moderate complexity.
• Develop technical reports and diagrams detailing product attributes.
• Analyze product functionality as defined by requirements.
• Implement reusable M&S expressions and patterns.
