Job summary

Corps Solutions is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Specialist to focus on MAGTF-level simulation systems and cross-train into additional M&S platforms as required. The role reports to the Project Manager through the local Company Site Lead.

You will operate and instruct on MTWS, JCATS, VBS4, ASCOT, DART, JVT and other LVC tools, integrate data into simulations, support exercise planning and analysis, and contribute to interoperability efforts.

Job description

The Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Specialist will primarily focus on MAGTF-level simulation systems and will cross train into other M&S simulation systems as required. The M&S Specialist reports to and receives work directions from the Project Manager through the local Company Site Lead.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and instruct on M&S systems such as MTWS, JCATS, VBS4, ASCOT, DART, JVT, and other LVC tools; rapidly learn new platforms and technologies.
• Integrate operational, intelligence, information, and fires data into simulation and wargaming environments.
• Translate orders, intelligence inputs, and planning guidance into simulation system requirements and databases.
• Support exercise planning, execution, and analysis, including pre event database checks, system validation, and post event after action review.
• Conduct functional area analysis and identify strengths, weaknesses, and capability gaps during simulation supported events.
• Participate in exercise development as a planner and coordinate with operators, intelligence personnel, contractors, government civilians, and senior military leadership.
• Research and extract operational and technical data for accurate scenario development.
• Contribute to distributed simulation and interoperability efforts (HLA/DIS).
• Capture and report system utilization data and maintain proficiency through cross training.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum five years of operational military experience, preferably with combat arms or intelligence operations background.
• Knowledge of Marine Corps doctrine, MAGTF-level planning, tactics, and command relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar systems, technologies, and operational processes.

CORE SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with intelligence disciplines: all source, SIGINT, ELINT, EW, cyber, IPB, information operations.
• Experience with simulations, wargaming, or synthetic training environments.
• Understanding of Marine Corps C2, targeting, fires integration, and sensor to decision workflows.
• Experience integrating data into simulations and developing common operational pictures.
• Knowledge of distributed simulation (HLA, DIS) and LVC integration.
• Awareness of advanced/emerging capabilities such as C5ISR modernization, AI enabled decision support, multi domain operations, and Project Tripoli.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work performed on site in a government facility.
• Required to sit or stand for extended periods and maintain focus.
• May need to lift or move computers and related equipment.
• Must work an unstable schedule—including holidays and weekends—during exercises; shifts may extend to 12–14 hours/day for 1–3 weeks.

SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS

• Occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel (1–3 weeks at a time; sometimes longer).
• Valid U.S. Passport required.
• Must qualify as an authorized company driver (valid license, insurance, acceptable driving record).
• Daily local travel may be required, including use of personal vehicle.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• NATO Secret security clearance required.

ESTIMATED COMPENSATION

• $85,000 - $102,500
