Job summary

Core One seeks a seasoned modelling and simulation professional in Tampa, FL to design, implement, and integrate M&S tool sets for national security programs. You will evaluate DOTmLPF-P, develop alternative solutions, and support decision-makers with rigorous analyses and reports.

Required are 5+ years in M&S tool design/implementation, strong C++ skills, and an active TS/SCI clearance. Expect travel up to 25% and heavy use of the MS Office suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or modelling and simulation.
• 5+ years’ experience designing, implementing, and integrating modelling and simulation tool sets in distributed simulation, object-oriented simulation, model validation and verification, and simulation and model development.
• 5+ years’ experience utilizing C++ or similar programming language and software engineering employing tools and libraries for various operating systems.
• 5+ years’ experience using Microsoft Office products (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
• 3+ years developing and presenting verbal and written products at military O5/civilian equivalent level.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Employ M&S tools across the space of DOTmLPF-P to support studies evaluating war fighter capabilities, differing designs, program recommendations, and capability performance.
• Develop alternative solutions and evaluations to inform decision makers and senior leaders on force changes and resource allocation.
• Evaluate DOTmLPF-P to develop solutions that inform senior leaders on force changes, resourcing, and capability gaps.
• Design, develop, evaluate, and analyze distributed simulation, object-oriented simulation, model validation and verification, and simulation development.
• Implement and integrate M&S tool sets to support trade space studies evaluating war fighter capabilities and program recommendations.
• Participate in experimentation-focused forums, working groups, and external assemblies such as conferences and technology shows.
• Analyze information to determine relevance and methods, and provide recommendations to address problems.
• Travel up to 25% monthly.
• Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Office applications.
• Develop and maintain an electronic resource for mission continuity accessible to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Employ M&S tools across the entire space of DOTmLPF-P to support industry-standard and trade space studies evaluating war fighter capabilities, differing solution designs, program recommendations, and overall capability performance
• Develop alternative solutions and evaluations to inform decision makers and senior leaders on where to make force changes and apply limited resources to fill known capability gaps. Provide support to a wide variety of experiment campaigns in support of this effort
• Evaluate DOTmLPF-P to develop alternative solutions that may inform senior leaders on force changes, resourcing, and capability gaps
• Perform design, development, evaluation, and analysis in such areas as distributed simulation, object-oriented simulation, model validation and verification, and simulation and model development
• Implement and integrate appropriate M&S tool sets to support trade space studies evaluating war fighter capabilities, differing solution designs, program recommendations, and overall capability performance
• Participate in experimentation-related forums, working groups, and external assemblies (i.e. Conferences, technology shows, etc.)
• Examine information to figure out what is relevant to a problem and what methods might be used to analyse it, and provide recommendations to address the problem
• Travel up to 25% of the time on a monthly basis
• Prepare reports, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access)
• Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders
