Job summary

The SouthState Bank, National Association is seeking a Risk Operations Support Manager to lead Model Risk Management governance, overseeing related technology and data initiatives and guiding a team to maintain consistent, well-documented risk practices across the organization.

You will partner with model owners, risk stakeholders, technology teams, and governance committees to enable timely oversight, robust documentation, and informed decision-making while advancing AI governance and data

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of relevant experience in model risk management, risk governance, or related domains.
• Experience supporting governance committees, senior management reporting, or regulatory activities is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of model risk management concepts, inventories, scoring, documentation, and ongoing monitoring.
• Ability to develop dashboards and clear management reporting using Power BI and Office tools.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional governance initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Model Risk Management governance activities, including governance standards and committee support.
• Manage MRM projects with planning, milestones, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
• Oversee Archer platform and MRM workflows, data quality, reporting, and issue resolution with technology teams.
• Manage model risk issues, remediation governance, evidence review, and closure preparation.
• Oversee ongoing monitoring governance for timely completion and clear reporting of performance.
