Job summary

First Merchants Bank offers a 12-week paid summer internship for college students, with hands-on projects in risk governance and model management. Participants should be full-time degree seekers, authorized to work in the United States, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Qualifications

• Be a full-time Bachelor (or higher) degree‑seeking student at an accredited college or university.
• Be available to work 40 hours per week from May 17th – August 6th, 2027.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have demonstrated interest in the industry and/or specific area of interest.
• Possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day tasks in Model Risk Management.
• Assist with documentation, reporting, and governance activities.
• Contribute to risk assessment, policy evidence, and meeting preparation.
• Gain exposure to model inventory, AI governance, and validation practices.
