Job summary

Valiant Integrated Services seeks a Model Maker I to fabricate and assemble training aids and VISMOD devices from detailed drawings and sketches. The role involves painting, mechanical and electrical maintenance, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The position requires 1+ years in related fabrication work, ability to read blueprints, operate CNC router and laser cutter, and a valid CA license with forklift certification. OT may be required in a Fort Irwin desert environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of fabricating/specialist/repairman work experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and work from sketches or verbal instructions.
• Must have basic knowledge of set‑up and operation of shop machines and basic software for CNC router and laser cutter.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate training aids and VISMOD devices from blueprints and sketches.
• Paint and finish major items, signs, and components.
• Maintain and repair training aids including mechanical and electrical units.
• Ensure safety standards and quality control procedures are followed.
• Assist higher-grade craftsmen and maintain orderly shop area.
