Job summary

Valiant Integrated Services seeks a Model Maker I to join our team at Fort Irwin, CA. The role focuses on fabrication, installation and maintenance of training aids, VISMODs, and related devices per detailed instructions.

Responsibilities include painting, repairs, safety compliance, inventory management, and assisting higher grade craftsmen. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 1+ year fabrication experience; CAC eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related fabrication/specialist/repairman experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings and work from sketches.
• Experience with wood, metal, plastic and fiberglass; torch cutting.
• Basic knowledge of shop machines and CNC/laser equipment.
• Must have valid CA license and forklift certification; CAC ability.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate devices and training aids from instructions and diagrams.
• Paint and finish models, signs, and detailed components.
• Maintain and repair VISMOD kits and training aids.
• Ensure safety, quality, and cleanliness in the work area.
• Assist higher-grade craftsmen and manage shop inventories.
