Job summary

Precision Solutions Ag in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer onsite to join our mission-focused team. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and a Monday–Friday schedule in the office.

You will create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models of products from concept through the lifecycle, guiding system architectures and ensuring alignment with DoD and government requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years designing architectures with MBSE tools and lifecycle management.
• 2+ years of systems engineering analysis for DoD/government systems.
• 2+ years using SysML and DoDAF in digital engineering.
• 2+ years translating requirements into designs and interfaces.
• Experience building models aligned to PDR/CDR/TRR.
• Ability to collaborate with government clients and FFRDCs.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models of products from concept throughout the product lifecycle. Requirements

• 2+ years of experience developing or defining architectures that integrate MBSE tools, simulation environments, data repositories, and lifecycle management systems
• 2+ years of experience performing systems engineering analysis and developing systems engineering products for DoD or government systems
• 2+ years of experience with practical MBSE for the development of technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture, including using digital engineering tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody
• 2+ years of experience analyzing and translating system requirements into design
• Experience in building models and views aligned to PDR, CDR, and TRR
• Ability to define and maintain the enterprise architecture for a digital engineering ecosystem
• Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with Model-Based Verification and Validation
• Experience with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)
• Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
• Ability to work to meet deliverables using agile workflows
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical risks and issues, develop technical reports, and collaborate with government and other stakeholders to implement recommended solutions
• Master’s degree in Engineering
• OMG Certified Systems Model Professional (OCSMP) Certification
• INCOSE SE Certification

Education/Certification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 4+ years of experience with MBSE
