Job summary

Warrant Technologies is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer III to support the NSWC Crane MXM EMSO effort. You will execute technical instructions, develop and analyze system models, and ensure fidelity across development phases with DoD security considerations.

The role requires expert MBSE knowledge, UML/SysML proficiency, and experience with cross‑platform collaborative engineering environments. A DoD SECRET clearance is required or pending, with location at NSWCCR/Contractor Facility.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree required.
• Active DoD SECRET clearance (or interim) required.
• Expert MBSE knowledge and tools; proficient in UML/SysML.
• Familiar with DoDAF/UAF viewpoints and model products.
• Experience with cross‑platform collaborative MBSE/digital environments.
• Strong communication to support reviews and stakeholder alignment.
• Practical MBSE tool experience (Cameo/MagicDraw, Sparx EA, Rhapsody).

Responsibilities

• Support MBSE activities on the MXM EMSO effort under government direction.
• Execute assigned Technical Instructions and produce model-based analyses for leadership reviews.
• Maintain model fidelity across development phases and coordinate with systems, software, test, cybersecurity, and logistics stakeholders.
• Contribute to requirement decomposition, interface definition, and architecture analysis using SysML/UML.

The Model Based Systems Engineer III supports the NSWC Crane Model-Based Engineering Assessment Division (Code MXM) on the MXM EMSO effort, executing assigned Technical Instructions under Government technical direction in support of the RDT&E, mission engineering, modeling and simulation, and Fleet-support tasking defined in the SOW/PWS. The position requires expert knowledge of MBSE methodologies and frameworks; expertise in MBSE tools. Proficient in UML. The Model Based Systems Engineer III performs assigned work in accordance with Team quality, configuration-management, and security requirements.

• Strong communication skills to support model reviews, requirements traceability discussions, and stakeholder alignment.
• Practical experience using MBSE tools in collaborative digital engineering environments (e.g., Cameo/MagicDraw, Sparx EA, Rhapsody, or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of SysML/UML and their application to requirement decomposition, interface definition, and architecture analysis.
• Familiarity with DoDAF/UAF viewpoints and model products for defense-oriented architecture development.
• Experience coordinating with systems, software, test, cybersecurity, and logistics stakeholders to maintain model fidelity across development phases.
• Ability to produce model-based analyses and concise technical outputs for engineering and leadership review.
