Job summary

OmicronVis, LLC is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer to own the architecture model for a Navy C4I integration program in San Diego. You will build and maintain the Cameo/SysML model that replaces traditional documents, driving requirements, IV&V, and change requests through the model.

You will work hands-on with Cameo, MagicDraw, and Teamwork Cloud on DoD programs, travel 20–30% and operate on-site four days a week. US citizenship and active Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 5+ years of systems engineering on large DoD programs.
• Hands-on Cameo, MagicDraw and Teamwork Cloud modeling.
• Navy modeling on NIPR/SIPR: N-IME, NDEE.
• SysML, UML, UAF, and DoDAF; Req/UC/ACT/SEQ/BDD/IBD.
• Generalization, inheritance, refactoring, validation rules.
• Active Secret clearance; US citizenship.
• On-site in San Diego, 4 days a week.
• 20–30% international travel.

Title: Model Based Systems Engineer (Cameo / SysML)

Location: San Diego, CA. On-site 4 days a week.

Most systems engineering jobs hand you a stack of documents and ask you to keep them tidy.

Not this one. Here, the model is the product.

You would own the system architecture model for a Navy C4I integration program. Interface specs, technical documents, and everything living in the heads of the engineers around you gets turned into SysML, until the model is the one place people go to find out how the system actually works.

If you have done digital engineering inside NAVWAR, NIWC Pacific or a PEO C4I program office, this one is aimed at you.

What you would do

• Build and own the architecture model in Cameo. Real modeling, not slides about modeling.
• Turn documents and SME knowledge into a model people actually trust.
• Pull tables, matrices and relation maps straight out of the model, so the people who never open Cameo can still use your work.
• Keep models healthy in Teamwork Cloud, run federated architectures, move models between enclaves.
• Answer requirements, IV&V and change requests by querying the model instead of digging through documents.
• Brief what the model says to the government and to partner teams.

What you need

• Bachelor's degree, technical field preferred.
• 5+ years of systems engineering on large DoD programs.
• Hands-on Cameo, MagicDraw and Teamwork Cloud. You build models, not just read them.
• Navy modeling on NIPR and SIPR: N-IME, NDEE.
• SysML, UML, UAF, DoDAF. Req, UC, ACT, SEQ, BDD, IBD.
• The real mechanics: generalization, inheritance, refactoring, structured expressions, validation rules, and knowing a stereotype tag from an owned attribute.
• Active Secret clearance. US citizenship required.
• On-site in San Diego, 4 days a week.
• 20 to 30 percent international travel.

NAVWAR, NIWC Pacific or PEO C4I experience. DoDAF and UAF conformant models. Eden TS Teamwork Cloud. ECR, IATT and ATO processes. Jython against the model. Model federation across programs. C2, targeting or battlespace awareness systems. FMS or coalition work. OCSMP, INCOSE ASEP or CSEP. TS/SCI. Master's degree.

Pay: $98,232.00 to $175,111.00 per year. Final compensation depends on experience, education, clearance and contract requirements.
