Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional systems engineering experience.
• 1 year applying Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience developing and managing system requirements and verification plans.
• Ability to develop traceability between requirements, code, and verification.
• Proficiency with MBSE tools Cameo, Rhapsody, or EA.
• Working knowledge of SysML.
• Strong cross‑organisational communication in a small team.
• Familiarity with Scrum and Agile software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system architecture and design models using MBSE tools and methodologies.
• Perform requirement traceability, impact analysis, and design validation through model simulations.
• Support trade studies, system decomposition, and design reviews with digital artifacts.
• Provide technical direction and requirement transparency across development teams.
• Perform requirements management including requirements creation, tracking, flow down, coverage, verification tracking, compliance matrices, etc.
• Develop test procedures to formally verify system requirements for sell off events.
• Decompose system requirements and collaborate with multi-disciplined, distributed teams to generate efficient and scalable solutions.
• Support the development, implementation, and verification of mission capabilities.
• Participate in the development and execution of program milestones events such as customer meetings, internal and formal Government testing events, and discrepancy report (DR) review boards.
• Conduct testing events of software solutions and generate test result documentation.

Requirements

• 5 years of professional experience working in systems engineering with at least 1 year applying Model Based Systems Engineering principles.
• Proficiency with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect.
• Working knowledge of SysML.
• Experience developing and managing system requirements, interface definitions, and verification plans.
• Ability to develop requirements.
• Ability to develop test procedures that verify requirements.
• Ability to develop traceability between requirements, code, and verification.
• Effective cross-organizational communicator with the ability to work well in a small team, fast paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
• U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance.
