Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a software engineer to develop model-based software for tractor transmissions using C and MATLAB. The role includes porting software to multiple hardware platforms and working with CAN protocols under J1939 standards.

You will develop test harnesses, perform MIL/SIL testing, and collaborate with Validation to ensure algorithms function correctly. Prior automotive/off-highway experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience in automotive software development, particularly for off-highway equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop Model Based Software for Tractor Transmission using C and MATLAB.
• Port application software to various hardware platforms.
• Work with CAN protocols under J1939 standard.
• Develop test harness and perform unit testing (MIL/SIL).
• Validate software algorithms with the Validation teams.
• Address functional changes and change requests.
• Perform development testing on vehicles.
• Support electronic functional testing on test vehicles for Validation.
• Leverage knowledge of CAN/LIN/J1939/XCP/UDS in diagnostics.
• Experience with farm equipment or connected vehicle systems.
