Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking a Model Bartender in Springfield, MA to craft and serve cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining an inviting bar environment. You will help deliver memorable guest experiences with a warm personality and attentive service.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1+ years in food & beverage or related entertainment settings. Full-time, with a Wednesday-Sunday schedule and Mondays/Tuesdays off, and tips-based earnings

Qualifications

• Has a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Has 1+ years of prior relevant experience in food & beverage, cocktail service, nightclub, or entertainment venue.
• Can work a Full-time schedule, day shift on Wednesday (shift starts 11:15am) - Thursday through Sunday (shift starts at 9:15am) OFF ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS

Responsibilities

• Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed.
• Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available.
• Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar.
• Ring beverages that are poured or served, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork.
• Provide apprentice bartender and bar porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service, and bartending.
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order, including cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar.
• Participate in modeling, presentations and promotions programs throughout the casino and resort if applicable.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
