Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. is looking for a motivated individual to operate MOCVD equipment in Sugar Land, Texas. The successful candidate will handle semiconductor fabrication, including responsibility for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

An engineering degree in Physics or a related field is required, along with significant hands-on experience. The role offers competitive benefits including flexible health plans and a relocation package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years for MS and 5+ years for bachelor of work experience is required.
• Familiar with MOCVD-related safety.
• Experience in process design, process optimization and/or production support.

Responsibilities

• Performing epitaxial growth of compound semiconductor device.
• Documentation of growth run, characterization data, and processes.
• Troubleshooting and repair of electrical, control, gas flow and vacuum systems.

Skills

Hands-on InP or GaAs epitaxial deposition growth process knowledge of MOCVD

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent analytical, organizational, planning and troubleshooting skills

Education

Bachelor or above in Physics or semiconductor related Engineering field
