A leading government organization in Columbus seeks a Mobility Technology Technician to assist with the installation and maintenance of the Integrated Mobility Technology System. This role involves developing software tools, supporting GIS applications, and managing mobile communication systems, requiring a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and relevant technical knowledge.
This position assists IT, GIS, and vendors with the installation and maintenance of the Integrated Mobility Technology System hardware and software in the Solid Waste & Recycling Collections division’s vehicles.

Required knowledge and skills:
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1-2 years of relevant experience or training. Valid Georgia driver’s license and successful completion of a Department of Corrections inmate labor supervision certification within six months are required.
The work involves sitting at a desk or intermittently standing, bending, crouching, lifting objects, and using technical equipment, with the ability to distinguish shades of color.
Physical activities include balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, manual dexterity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, pulling, pushing, and more, often performed outdoors in various weather conditions with protective gear as needed.
