Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Mobility Technician to assist patients with mobility tasks and collaborate with nurses and therapists in an acute care setting.

You will support patient transfers, document care in EPIC, and help maintain equipment while following infection control and safety procedures. A High School diploma and BLS are required, with prior patient-care exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No required prior experience; 1 year preferred in patient care.
• Therapy-related experience (PT/OT) preferred.
• Nursing student with clinical rotation and licensure pursuit is acceptable.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to use computers and EPIC for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with mobility and transfers with staff guidance.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams on mobility plans.
• Document patient progress and activities in EPIC.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, assist with supplies.
• Support safety and infection control protocols.
