Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Mobility Technician to join our Nursing Support team at Baptist South. This is a Full-Time Days position, working 40 hours per week with 8:00am-4:30pm shifts and weekend rotation.

Mobility Technicians assist nursing staff with patient repositioning, ambulation, transfers, and use of lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards, documenting activities per hospital policy.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff in the safe repositioning, ambulation, and transfer of patients
• Utilize patient handling equipment such as lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards
• Respond to mobility requests from nursing and rehabilitation departments
• Support fall prevention strategies and early mobility protocols
• Document patient mobility activities in accordance with hospital policies
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
