Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Mobility Technician to join our Nursing Support team at Baptist South. This is a Full-Time Days position, working 40 hours per week with shifts of 8:00am-4:30pm, and weekends rotation is included.

Mobility Technicians assist nursing staff with patient mobility, repositioning, ambulation, and transfers, using lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards. Qualifications include HSD/GED; Associate's Degree preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) required;

Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare setting.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff in the safe repositioning, ambulation, and transfer of patients.
• Utilize patient handling equipment such as lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards.
• Respond to mobility requests from nursing and rehabilitation departments.
• Support fall prevention strategies and early mobility protocols.
• Document patient mobility activities in accordance with hospital policies.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
