Job summary

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians is seeking a Mobility Coordinator to support the Transit Program. You will handle trip requests, scheduling, data entry, and driver coordination to ensure timely, safe transportation for tribal members.

This role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of admin experience, CPR/First Aid within 3 months, a Chauffeur’s license, and strong customer service; knowledge of mobility software is a plus, with confidentiality and teamwork essential.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
  • Three years of administrative office support experience required.
  • One year in public transportation scheduling or dispatching preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid within three months of hire; valid Chauffeur’s license; insurable.

Responsibilities

  • Receives trip requests and schedules appropriate services for eligible customers.
  • Collects data, performs data entry, and creates reports.
  • Coordinates transportation schedules and driver manifests with scheduling software.
  • Dispatches drivers to trips and maintains timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Provides excellent customer service and acts as liaison with staff and vendors.
  • Maintains confidentiality and supports mobility management projects.
