Job summary

Keysight in Austin, TX seeks an academically oriented software engineering student to evolve the MobileStack/Network Visibility platform for carrier-grade mobility features. Qualifications

• : Working towards BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
• : Proficient in C++ programming.
• : Familiar with GIT.
• : Strong debugging methodologies.
• : Knowledge of protocols (wireless/security) or Wireshark is a plus.
• : Exposure to telecom/service providers is a plus.
• : Excellent English verbal communications and teamwork.
• : Virtualization and microservices experience (PODs, Kubernetes, Docker, Redis) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype and iterate on mobility requirements.
• Implement core network protocol parsers for filtering and sampling.
• Virtualize functions.
• Develop proof of concept applications for trials with customers.
• Identify methods to correlate user traffic to probes and patent methods.
• Participate in feature definition and software development.
• Rapidly solve problems and fix bugs.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Develop unit tests and perform integration testing.
• Support customer escalations for product issues.
• Use traffic tools and protocols simulation for testing.
• Collaborate with QA and software engineers across distributed teams (US, Romania).
• Contribute ideas to improve product quality and development efficiency.
