Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant in Sustainability Consulting to lead defined workstreams in transportation electrification and mobility programs for state and local government clients. You will drive strategies, deployment plans, and implementation roadmaps while coordinating with stakeholders and managing risks.

Travel up to 25% is required. The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, client-ready deliverables, and leadership of junior staff within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of THREE (3+) years of overall work experience in management consulting or a related field
• Experience in transportation electrification, EV fleets and infrastructure, energy, public-sector consulting, or related field
• Critical thinking to solve problems and develop innovative solutions
• Ability to translate analyses into client-ready deliverables with limited oversight
• Willingness to travel to client locations and Guidehouse offices as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead defined workstreams for EV charging infrastructure and mobility programs, setting tasks, milestones, responsibilities, decision points, and quality expectations
• Work with state and local government clients to develop electrification strategies, deployment plans, business cases, and implementation roadmaps
• Support end-to-end solutions from startup through launch and operations, including stakeholder engagement and performance reporting
• Translate research and client input into actionable findings and recommendations; prepare client-ready reports and presentations
• Facilitate client interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering with public-sector stakeholders
• Manage workplans, schedules, risks, and performance measures from initiation to closeout
• Conduct advanced data collection and analysis using spreadsheets, databases and AI-enabled tools
• Build relationships with client counterparts and communicate scope, schedule, quality, and risks
• Guide junior staff and contractors with feedback and coaching
• Support proposal development and sales cycles by researching client needs and procurement signals
• Identify client needs and market developments and share insights with leadership
• Contribute to Mobility Solutions and State and Local Government initiatives, recruiting, onboarding, and staff development
• Manage multiple priorities, travel needs, and client commitments
