Job summary

Trace Systems Inc. is seeking a MAF Journeyman Network Engineer to provide hands‑on configuration, implementation, troubleshooting, and sustainment for Mobility Air Forces traffic integrated into EACN at Scott AFB, Illinois.

You will coordinate with senior engineers and government personnel, maintain configurations and tickets, and support test, installation, and cutover activities for new MAF capabilities. A Secret clearance and CCNA are required or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

DoD 8140 qualification requirements for the assigned work role.
DoD 8140 Work Role(s): 441 Network Operations Specialist, Proficiency Level: Intermediate; may qualify via education, military training, certifications, or combination thereof.

Responsibilities

Configure, implement, and support network infrastructure, operating systems, and data exchange equipment used to integrate MAF Operations traffic into EACN.
Identify and resolve network performance issues affecting MAF Operations.
Troubleshoot, repair or replace, configure, monitor, and upgrade network equipment and supporting systems.
Support integration, test, installation, transition, and cutover activities for new MAF capabilities.
Maintain accurate configurations, diagrams, implementation records, tickets, and technical procedures.
Coordinate with senior engineers, cybersecurity personnel, Government engineers, and operational users.
Support network monitoring, compliance, performance analysis, and restoration of service.
