Job summary

West Coast Wound & Skin Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our field-based wound care team. This role involves traveling to patient homes in the Tucson area to provide hands-on clinical support under supervision.

The ideal candidate has MA certification, 1–2 years of clinical experience, and strong medical terminology knowledge. You will scribe, assist during visits, and help manage supplies while maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Valid MA certification required.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in home health or field-based roles is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks in field-based setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist during visits.
• Scribe for physicians and document findings.
• Monitor patient progress and perform chart checks.
• Coordinate scheduling and visits.
• Conduct initial patient assessment calls.
• Order and manage supplies inventory.
• Adhere to infection control and privacy standards.
• Communicate with providers and staff to ensure continuity of care.
