Job summary

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a field-based wound care team. Travel to patient homes for hands-on clinical support under supervising providers. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, clinically competent, and passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a mobile setting.

The role involves preparing patients for procedures, assisting during visits, documenting findings, and ensuring continuity of care across providers and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid MA certification required.
• 1–2 years of clinical or medical experience preferred.
• Experience in home health, mobile healthcare, or field-based roles a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks in field-based setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits.
• Scribe for physicians and document clinical findings.
• Perform chart checks to monitor patient progress.
• Coordinate scheduling and visits for patients.
• Conduct initial assessment calls with new patients.
• Order and manage medical supplies and equipment inventory.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards.
• Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.
