Job summary

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for field-based wound care, traveling to patient homes and facilities within the Tucson area to provide hands-on clinical support under supervising providers.

The ideal candidate will hold MA certification, have 1–2 years of clinical experience, and be comfortable with home health or mobile care settings. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with full-time benefits including health and dental insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid Medical Assistant (MA) Certification required.
• 1–2 years of clinical or medical experience preferred.
• Experience in home health, mobile healthcare, or field-based roles a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks and patient care duties in a field-based setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits.
• Scribe for physicians and document clinical findings accurately.
• Perform chart checks to monitor and evaluate patient progress.
• Coordinate and assist with patient scheduling and visits Conduct initial assessment calls with new patients.
• Order and manage medical supplies and equipment inventory.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.
