Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a skilled Generator Repair Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbine generators across multiple OEM platforms. This role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical work in high‑reliability wind energy environments.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace generator components, perform alignment, electrical testing, and vibration analysis, and read OEM documentation. Travel to wind sites is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in generator repair, electrical maintenance, or wind turbine service.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel to wind sites.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, refurbishment, and replacement of wind turbine generator components.
• Complete generator‑related corrective maintenance, including rotor, stator, bearings, insulation systems, and cooling systems.
• Support generator‑specific tasks such as alignment, electrical testing, and vibration analysis.
• Read and interpret OEM technical documentation, schematics, and repair procedures.
• Safely perform work in nacelles and towers following site safety policies.
• Work with wind turbine technicians, engineers, and field supervisors.
• Document work performed and complete service reports and job records.
