Job summary

Kinross is seeking a skilled welder for the Round Mountain mine in Nevada. The role entails performing high-quality welding across the site, reading blueprints, and maintaining accurate service records.

You will operate under the Weld Shop Supervisor and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in safety and efficiency. Candidates should have basic welding knowledge, familiarity with wires and rods, and a willingness to participate in welding tests.

Qualifications

• Must understand differences between wires and rods and their uses.
• Basic metallurgical understanding.
• Must be able to read blueprints and perform fabrication.
• Basic welding knowledge required.
• Welding Tech degree or certification preferred.
• Must be 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Requires valid driver0s license.

Responsibilities

• Service welding across the entire mine site and repair machinery as needed.
• Read blueprints as part of welding preparation.
• Write service records and reports and file appropriately.
• Welding test required.
• Comply with safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code of conduct policies.
• Help develop other department personnel to perform duties.
• Perform related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
