Qualifications

• Minimum age 21.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year wastewater experience preferred but not required.
• Must be available weekends and holidays.
• Overtime as required and 24-hour on-call rotation.
• MA Grade 3M-7C Full Status Wastewater license is required.
• Valid Driver's License; Title 5 Septic Inspector license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust wastewater treatment processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collect data and wastewater samples from facilities and record results.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment as per manuals.
• Maintain accurate, legible records of operations and maintenance.
• Prepare monthly operating reports for clients or regulatory agencies.
• Inform supervisor promptly about plant problems or needed repairs.
• Work 24-hour on-call rotation and weekends as scheduled.
• Discuss plant operations professionally with clients and regulators.
• Assist maintenance with pumps, blowers, motors, valves and related equipment.
