Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a Full-Time In-Home Veterinarian for Hernando County, FL, including Inverness, Brooksville, Crystal River, Istachatta, Masaryktown and surrounding areas. You’ll practice compassionate hospice and euthanasia care in clients’ homes, joining a supportive network of over 400 veterinarians and mentors.

Expect a flexible schedule with 3- to 5-day options, comprehensive onboarding, and a culture of kindness.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) is required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Travel to client homes within Hernando County, FL and surrounding areas.
• Deliver compassionate veterinary care with a focus on comfort and family communication.
