Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice seeks a Part-Time In-Home Veterinarian to serve San Diego, CA and surrounding areas. You’ll provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets in clients’ homes, practicing with purpose while maintaining balance and personal well‑being.

Qualifications

• Must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) and be licensed to practice in the U.S.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in home settings.
• Practice independently with ongoing mentorship and support from Lap of Love.
• Deliver high-quality veterinary care while respecting clients’ time and needs.
• Participate in comprehensive onboarding and utilize the support center as needed.
