Job summary

VIP Petcare is seeking a Veterinary Clinic Assistant I to support our mobile and clinic teams. You will help pet parents with the clinic process, process payments, dispense medications, and review discharge paperwork, while ensuring safety and cleanliness across settings.

The role involves restraining pets for procedures, collecting samples, scanning microchips, assisting with vaccines, and promoting our services and products based on each pet’s lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and VIP Petcare Pass MVR Check with reliable transportation to and from work.
• Previous customer service sales experience is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process payments, dispense meds, and review discharge paperwork with pet parents.
• Safely restrain pets for vaccines, nail trims, and microchips.
• Collect and prepare blood and fecal samples for lab testing.
• Drive vans to the clinics and assist with loading/unloading (Community Clinics).
• Promote services and products to pets based on lifestyle and disease knowledge.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment between patients.
• Manage inventory and expiration dates for vaccines and products.
• Provide customer service and assist pet parents through the clinic process.
• Scan pets for microchips and prepare canine and feline vaccines.
