Job summary

VTP is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant (PICC RN) in San Rafael, CA. The role includes performing ultrasound-guided venous access and supporting facilities with PICC management across care settings.

Full-time mobile or Per Diem options available. Competitive hourly pay range of $60–$75 with sign-on/commitment bonus up to $10,000 for qualified candidates, plus comprehensive benefits and travel support.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with current privileges.
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs).
• Experience managing vascular access devices (VAD).
• American Heart BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must own a smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance.
• Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation.
• Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices.
• Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting.
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs.
