Job summary

Constellation is seeking a maintenance technician to perform general mechanical maintenance on power plant equipment within the Mobile Turbine/Rotating Department. The role supports continuous improvement and safety standards while traveling up to 80% to various sites.

The candidate will work on pumps, turbines, gearboxes and related systems, requiring strong mechanical skills and the ability to read prints and work with cross‑functional teams. Nuclear plant access may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics (Level I)
• HS Diploma with 12 months of trade experience in Power Plant Technology (Level I)
• Vocational Technical High School diploma with 6 months of Shop Experience (Level I)
• Associates Degree in Power Plant Technology (Level II)
• Electronics with 18 months of training in Power Plant Technology (Level II)
• Associates Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics with 3 years of experience (Level III)
• 5 years’ experience in Maintenance Tech II or equivalent (Level III)
• Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a nuclear plant environment and obtain unescorted access.
• Basic computer skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Maintain Radiation Protection Qualification and training, including respirator qualifications as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on plant equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, fans, turbines, bearings, boilers, and piping.
• Adheres to maintenance standards and practices.
• Perform tasks safely and efficiently under Maintenance Management direction.
• Demonstrate maintenance skills on steam or gas turbines and related equipment.
• Execute work packages as assigned.
• Interpret and understand power plant prints.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on major projects.
• Provide technical support to plant operations and engineering.
