Job summary

Interstate Utility Trailer, a leading semi-trailer dealership in North America, is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician in Lexington, KY. You will diagnose and repair trailer refrigeration units, perform DOT inspections, and handle preventive maintenance in the field and shop.

Training and support are provided to grow your career. We value experience in reefer, diesel, or mobile trailer repair, EPA 608/609 certifications (or willingness to obtain), and a clean driving record.

• Reefer repair experience or diesel/mobile trailer repair experience.
• EPA 608/609 certifications or willingness to obtain.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Self-motivated and professional; able to work independently.
• Team player with strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair transport refrigeration (reefer) units in the field and in the shop.
• Perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and trailer repairs.
• Read work orders, observe units in operation, and plan repair procedures.
• Follow inspection checklists to ensure all critical components are examined.
• Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer procedures, labor time guidelines, and torque specifications.
• Document all repairs accurately on work orders.
• Stay current on factory technical bulletins and attend training classes.
• Build strong customer relationships and represent the company professionally on-site.
• Follow all safety requirements and keep your work area and service vehicle clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About This Role

We're looking for a skilled Mobile Trailer Technician to join our Lexington, KY area team. You'll diagnose and repair trailer refrigeration units and perform trailer maintenance and repairs, both on the road and in the shop. Whether you're a certified reefer tech, a mobile trailer technician, or a diesel mechanic ready to move into refrigeration, we'll give you the training and support to grow your career. Experienced mobile technicians receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

What We're Looking For

• Reefer repair experience, or diesel engine or mobile trailer repair experience
• EPA 608 and 609 certifications, or willingness to obtain
• Clean driving record

• Team player with a strong commitment to customers and the service team
