Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire service technician to respond to roadside and on-site service calls with a fully equipped truck. You will mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires across passenger, light, and heavy-duty fleets, diagnosing tire issues and performing light repairs as needed.

You will inspect tires for wear and proper inflation, operate TPMS, and maintain tools and equipment. Safety and exceptional customer service are essential in all interactions and duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
• Overtime may be required.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift and move tires weighing 30-250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
• Capable of working independently in various weather and road conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck.
• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires of all types.
• Diagnose tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs as needed.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Operate TPMS and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain service truck and equipment in safe condition.
• Follow DOT regulations, safety policies, and traffic laws.
• Provide exceptional customer service with clear communication of details and timelines.
• Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls.
