Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for equipment up to 10,000 lbs or 21+ for heavier equipment.
• Clean motor vehicle record per company guidelines.
• Able to supply your own basic tools or participate in toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, chassis, and power equipment.
• Follow safety requirements at customer sites and rail yards.
• Operate assigned service truck in a professional manner and keep it clean and stocked.
• Complete work orders and written materials per procedures.
• Document damage to equipment for subrogation purposes.
• Demonstrate basic cutting torch and welding techniques for minor repairs.
• Patch holes in trailer/container panels to seal and water-tightness.
• Conduct annual AA Trailer and FHWA Brake Inspections under supervision.
