J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Technician in South Gate, CA, to perform basic preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, chassis, and power equipment at customer sites or rail yards.

You will work from a mobile service truck, handling tasks from tire/tire repairs to brake adjustments and electrical diagnostics. The position requires outdoor work, multiple shifts including nights and weekends, and full-time attendance.

Qualifications

• Must have GED or High School diploma.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to work across multiple shifts including nights/weekends if needed.
• Demonstrates basic maintenance and safety protocol knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, chassis, and related equipment.
• Follow safety requirements at customer sites or rail yards.
• Operate service truck professionally and keep it clean and stocked.
• Complete work orders and written materials accurately.
• Document damage to equipment for subrogation purposes.
• Demonstrate basic welding and cutting torch use for minor repairs.
• Patch holes and seal water intrusion on trailer/container panels.
• Perform annual inspections under supervision of certified technicians.
