Job summary

The Resource Co in Eden, North Carolina seeks an Applications Engineer – Mobile Substations to develop technical solutions for mobile substation projects, prepare proposals, and support through pre-sales with customers.

Candidates should hold a bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and have experience with substations, high-voltage equipment, power systems, protection and controls; familiarity with IEC, IEEE and ANSI standards; and ideally AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with electrical substations and high-voltage equipment.
• Knowledge of power systems, protection, and control.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer technical requirements and specifications for mobile substation projects.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams.
• Provide technical support during the pre-sales process, including presentations and customer clarifications.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and applicable IEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
