Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit Registered Nurse to provide advanced pre-hospital nursing care for patients with acute neurological emergencies. You will perform assessments, triage, treatment, monitoring and evaluation during transport under established protocols.

You will collaborate with physicians, EMS teams and receiving facilities to ensure seamless patient care, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Leadership skills and ability to lead care teams.
• Maintains all specialty educational requirements and licenses.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced pre-hospital nursing care to patients with acute stroke and other neurological emergencies.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, treatment, monitoring, and evaluation during transport.
• Operate autonomously within established medical protocols under the direction of the Medical Director.
• Collaborate with physicians, EMS personnel, receiving facilities, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
