Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a skilled Paramedic to provide high-quality EMS care in accordance with established protocols and the EMS operations manual. You will help ensure readiness of vehicles and equipment, transport patients safely, and act as a role model with leadership and clinical competence.

This includes delivering stroke care via Georgia's Mobile Stroke Unit in the Atlanta area. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in a high-volume 911 system, a valid Georgia

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Georgia Paramedic certification required.
• Must be insurable by the departmental provider at the standard rate.
• Maintain current American Heart Association-Healthcare Provider Card for BLS & ACLS.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and maintain an acceptable MVR according to departmental standards.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of basic & advanced life support protocols and principles as defined by national, state and regional standards

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients in accordance with EMS protocols and medical guidelines.
• Ensure EMS vehicles and equipment are ready for operation at all times.
• Safely transport patients to/from predetermined locations.
• Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and timely responsiveness to staff, patients, and vendors.
• Deliver advanced stroke treatments in the Mobile Stroke Unit in Atlanta and South Fulton service areas.
• Experience driving large apparatus is highly preferred.
