Job summary

Lightspeed, a leading cloud-based dealer management software provider, seeks a mobile engineer to own dealer apps across Android and iOS. You will design, build, and test features that keep inventory, service, parts, and CRM in sync with Lightspeed’s core platform.

You will collaborate with analysts, developers, and product managers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to Agile ceremonies while delivering reliable, scalable mobile solutions for thousands of dealerships.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and testing concepts.
• Experience debugging and testing with unit/integration tests and APIs.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and sprint ceremonies.
• Knowledge of network communications and OSI model.
• Ability to learn new programming languages quickly.
• Experience with dealer/vertical SaaS is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and code custom mobile components and features.
• Build mobile features syncing with core DMS in real time.
• Write and maintain automated tests.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and PMs to define requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Support Agile transition for mobile team and participate in sprints.
• Provide post-release support and fix bugs; deploy to App Store/Play.
• Apply CS fundamentals to build scalable mobile code.
• Stay updated on mobile tools and platforms.
• Own projects from requirements through release.
