Job summary

Punch Through is seeking an Associate Software Engineer with a Mobile focus for a paid internship in Minneapolis. You’ll start part-time in Spring and move to full-time in Summer, working on native iOS or Android apps that power connected device ecosystems.

We value curiosity, hands-on projects, and collaboration. You’ll gain exposure to proofs of concept and multi-year development programs, with in-office days and flexible remote work as part of a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelor's in CS or CE.
• Ability to intern for at least a full year before graduation.
• Commit to 40 hrs/week in summer; 15–20 hrs/week during school.
• Clear and effective communication of ideas.
• Experience in at least one of C++, Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Swift.
• Experience with Git or similar VCS.
• Experience with iOS or Android development.

Responsibilities

• Develop mobile application software for connected products.
• Learn new engineering topics and solve problems.
• Review architecture design for mobile apps and their connected products.
• Deliver status updates to clients’ engineers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to design and product requirement specifications.
• Demonstrate independence and grow engineering responsibility.
• Collaborate with team engineers and ask for help when needed.
• Support continuous improvement of software engineering practices.
