Job summary

Punch Through, a design and engineering firm in Minneapolis, is seeking an Associate Embedded Software Engineer intern. The role begins part-time in spring and transitions to full-time in summer, focusing on embedded software for connected devices.

You will work on diverse projects, from quick proofs of concept to multi-year development, with collaboration onsite twice weekly in Minneapolis and flexible home options. Prior projects with Arduino or Raspberry Pi are a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical field with embedded software emphasis.
• Ability to intern for a minimum of a full year before undergraduate graduation.
• Commit to 40 hours/week during the summer and 15–20 hours/week during school.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication of ideas.
• Proficiency in C and embedded software on microcontrollers.
• Experience with embedded development for microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with Git and team-based development.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for connected products.
• Learn new engineering topics and solve problems.
• Contribute to and review architecture design for embedded software projects.
